This 4 Star accommodation is available in Cottages and a Lodge with 10,000 hectares of safari is the latest of our adventures.
Coming from Cape Town, which is only a two hour drive and having done game drives before, not to mention staying in many different stylish accommodations I had high hopes and high expectations.
Entry to the reserve was easy and quick. Parking was ample (lookout for the undercover parking) and not a far walk from reception. We were met with welcoming drinks and a short queue to check in. Have your ID or passport ready as they keep track of everyone that spends time on the reserve.
We were then off to a buffet all you can eat lunch. With a large range of different culinary experiences just waiting to be enjoyed. After our enjoyable lunch we were escorted to our luxury cottage to freshen up and relax a little.
Now it was time for the first of two safari game drives. What a great experience. No smooth tar roads here. Just real nature and a safari truck! Our guide and driver were truly brilliant and extremely helpful. With almost three hours behind us and many photos it was back off to the cottage for a refreshing bath or shower and then off to the Spa for a neck, shoulder and head massage.
After our massage it was time for the all you can eat buffet dinner in the spacious restaurant. The staff it really friendly and helpful and willing to assist you with all your desires.
You can now relax in the bar and lounge area, by the pool, in the Spa or go back to your room. We decided to get an early night because we had to be up at 6am to get really for the 7am morning safari drive.
We made our way to the departure area and were met with a welcoming coffee before setting out for another great adventure in nature. Upon our return we packed our bags, checked out the room and made our way back to Cape Town with an invigorated spirit ready for whatever the week has to offer. This was truly an experience we will never forget and recommend to all.

Comfortable shoes, we did lots of walking.
While they do supply blankets for the safari drives you would do well to bring warm clothes, gloves and a hoody.
