The Fernkloof Gardens covers 18 square kilometres in the Kleinrivier Mountains in Hermanus and ranges in altitude from sea level to 842 m.The Reserve lies across almost the entire northern side of the town with a 60 km network of trails. These provide the opportunity for people of all fitness levels to enjoy some exercise and fresh air.
Gordons Bay is a harbour town in the Western Cape province of South Africa, close to Strand. It is situated on the northeastern corner of False Bay about 50 km from Cape Town to the south of the N2 (South Africa) national road and is named after Robert Jacob Gordon (1743-1795), the Dutch explorer of Scottish descent.

This popular tour is specifically aimed at viewing the magnificent Southern Right whale. We travel to the quaint coastal town of Hermanus, arguably the best land based whale watching spot in the world. We explore the town, enjoy a wine tasting at a nearby Wine Estate or Vinotique and travel a circular route, taking in the breathtaking coastal scenery as well as paying a visit to the Fernkloof Botanical Gardens.
Whale watching season occurs between July and September, however in the off season there is still plenty to see and do. Take the opportunity to walk the charming elevated foot paths of this lovely seaside village or explore it's art galleries, markets and book shops. Out of season we include a tour of the Fernkloof Botanical Gardens.
