The Country Guesthouse

Wow where do we start. Being very close to Cape Town and just minutes from the winelands it perfectly situated for comfort and easy access.

The staff are very friendly and within minutes we checked in and taken to our room. We were happy to see that our parking was private and exclusive to us. We really liked the idea of our vehicle parked next to our room and not in a general parking bay. We also liked the idea that the Guest House has 24/7 security on the main gate.

We had a patio with chairs and table which is ideal for an early morning coffee or late wine glass.

Inside our room we were greeted by gorgeous couches and a centre table. Our room also had a wall mounted TV with several DSTV channels. As expected we had coffee with a mini bar. We also love having an indoor fireplace which was a standard with our room.

The large bed was really inviting and comfortable and had an aircon directly opposite it, for cool are in summer and warm air in winter. There were also extra blankets in the cupboards.

The bathroom was really great. The shower was big enough to shower a family of four at the same time including the pram. A step with large sliding glass door kept all the splashes inside.

The entire experience was one of relaxation and comfort. This is definitely a Guest House worth a second or third visit.

Notes:

They have a restaurant on sight which requires reservations. Make the reservations as the menu is well worth it.

Tips:

Request room #7 because it has its own parking and very comfortable inside
